Patrick Johnson is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of EDGE Capital Partners LLC, a boutique venture capital firm focused on the active management of various business enterprises in Frontier and pre-Frontier Markets (including ZiBA Foods, a dried fruit and nut processing company based in Afghanistan,) and on opportunistic passive investments around the world.
Before founding EDGE, Patrick worked for nearly ten years in the international distribution business for Cummins Inc., a US-based Fortune 150 Company, where he focused on business development, sales and aftermarket support of Cummins products across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition, Patrick has led distribution company valuations, negotiations and integrations of joint venture alliances and corporate acquisitions in Angola, Colombia, Egypt, Indonesia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Patrick holds a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, an M.B.A. in International Business and an M.A. in International Economic Affairs, with Honors, from the George Washington University. He is also a former United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger (2000-2001.) He currently lives in Singapore and Italy with his wife, Emily, and their rescue dog Salvatore.
